what is a public insurance adjuster?
Public Insurance Adjusters are professionals who are contracted exclusively by a policyholder who has sustained an insured loss.
We handle every detail of the claim, working closely with the insured to provide the most equitable and prompt settlement possible. A Public Adjuster inspects the loss site immediately, analyzes the damages, assembles claim support data, reviews the insured’s coverage, determines current replacement costs and exclusively serves the client, not the insurance company.
There are three types of licensed adjusters:
- Company Adjuster – works directly for the insurance company to represent them in dealing with your loss and damages. Their main responsibility is to protect the interests of the insurance companies.
- Independent Adjuster – hired by the insurance company to represent them in dealing with your loss and damages. Their main responsibility is to protect the interests of the insurance companies.
- Public Insurance Adjuster – the only adjuster licensed by a state to represent you, the property owner. The Public Adjuster’s sole responsibility is to represent you and your interests, and to obtain a fair and equitable settlement for your loss and damages.
