As a public adjuster in Maine, we advocate for policyholders to secure fair compensation for an unscheduled event in a property damage claims. We do this by carefully inspecting the damaged property, making a detailed list of losses, reviewing insurance policies to see what’s covered, and creating detailed estimates and supporting documents. Submitting these documents to the carrier in the format that will more than likely be accepted. Then to negotiate with the carrier representatives for payment to you directly. We also make sure to follow Maine’s specific insurance regulations and licensing requirements to ensure ethical practices and accurate claim representation. Daniel and his team did a remarkable job getting my wife and I the correct coverage we had (per insurance contract) for hail damage to our roof. Initially the insurance company tried to only cover a small portion of the damage caused by the natural disaster until RIA and Daniel got involved! Irene Villa was our RIA adjuster for a slab leak that we had on our property. From the very beginning, she completely took over all of our worries and with her “can do” attitude, we knew we were in good hands. Irene grabbed the reins with all of the paperwork, language that I didn’t understand and notarized everything that the insurance company required. We literally gave everything to Irene, all emails and correspondence and we got a really wonderful recovery. We never would have done so well and put back together like we are now. After reaching out to Joe Connelly regarding our claim for Hurricane Ian damage, he would not even talk to me. I live in a Condominium and have been without my home for almost 5 months. You would think that he would have a heart! He stated that he would only speak with board members regarding questions about the claim. The communication with our new board has been scarce as to updated information. Joe's required "letter of representation" was untimely, according to the claims service representative, which consequently held things up. He gave out misleading information about material costs during our association meeting regarding the insurance claim. The information that Joe gave us, during the lengthy zoom meeting, was to recite the policy coverages which we had been given weeks before as if we couldn't read it ourselves. Nothing he said was positive just somewhat of a scare tactic. Obviously, Joe has proven to be unprofessional to me. Best advice is to look elsewhere for friendly, caring and informative service when hiring a public adjuster.

Had water damage in my home. Called my insurance company and they led me to believe I was covered for the damage and sent a remediation team over. Later I received a large bill from the remediation company and my insurance company denied the claim. I contacted RIA (Priscilla) and she came immediately, took charge of things, contacted the insurance company and also a law firm and sent teams over to access and repair the damage, all the while documenting everything. I was out of the loop and Priscilla handled everything. The insurance company then made a reasonable offer for damages and we settled. I later had a leak from a faulty water heater and I called Priscilla immediately who took charge, contacting the insurance company, taking photos and getting the remediation done. I did not deal with the insurance company once and Priscilla settled the claim in a timely matter. I can't say enough about RIA and Priscilla and recommend them highly.

I was referred to RIA and Joe to get an accurate number for repairs to submit to my insurance company that had shorted us an unreasonable amount for hurricane damages. He was extremely professional and down to the detail in his documentation. It provided us really good footing when we eventually went to litigation with the insurance company.He helped represent us in our first meeting with the insurance company before we had to hire a lawyer to go further due to the insurance company's no-show and refusal to award money. Joe always made sure we were in the know of what was going on and what was going to happen.I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Cathleen. On NYE I found a leak in my kitchen that had been ongoing, I did some research and called RIA the next day. Irene came out 1/2 and did an assessment and took care of literally EVERYTHING. We asked Joe Connelly of Recovery Insurance Adjusters to help us out after Irma. We knew we had damage as a tree hit our home. Joe Connelly handled EVERYTHING. He inspected the damage done to our home himself spending hours doing so. He met with the insurance adjusters at our home pointing out damage that Irma had caused that the Insurance Company's adjuster never thought of addressing. Joe made all the phone calls to the insurance company. He was our representative to the insurance company and essentially lifted the chore of dealing with the insurance company off our shoulders.
